(i) AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING (AME)

The maintenance engineers of the aviation industry are backbone of any Airline. They are among the most elite groups of individuals who not only draw attractive salary package but they are also respected through out the world for their professionalism, dedication and hard work. As you know that an aircraft is very expensive and sophisticated machine which needs precise handling and proper maintenance. To accomplish this highly skilled task, trained persons are required who should be thoroughly conversant with the Aircraft and its systems.

All technical work on the Aircraft is carried out under Authority of a DGCA licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. AME is responsible to certify the Aircraft to be Airworthy before each flight.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course is a Basic course, approved by Director General of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India,  required for entering the field of Maintenance and repair of aircraft and its accessories. Students are trained, during the course in the Academy, to obtain AME licence from DGCA.

 

(ii) FOUNDATION COURSE FOR AME

Foundation with AME course is a 6 months course. This course is designed specially for students who need improvement or are weak in some subjects. Weak students face problems pertaining to Technical vocabulary and consequently these students start failing in the examinations. Keeping these things in mind, this course is offered to students who are weak at academics

DGCA EXAM:

The A.M.E. license examination will be conducted by D.G.C.A. thrice in a year, in the month of February, June and  October every year.


 

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

(1)  Minimum age 16 yrs.
(2)  Passed 10 +2 in science subjects (PCM) with min. 50% in aggregate OR a higher qualification in science subjects from recognized Board/University.
                    OR
 Diploma in any branch of Engineering .
                    OR
Student-ship exam. of Institution of Engineers (India).

HOW TO GET APPLICATION FORM

    c)   Downloaded forms should be sent along with a D.D. of Rs.500/-

DURATION:

Total training for this course is three years which will enable a candidate of (10+2 P.C.M. 50%) in aggregate to prepare for AME license. The program as arranged in six semesters for theory and practical classes.

 

NOTE:

1. 10% Fee concession will be given to Female students.
2. Five seats in each course are reserved for Female students.
3. 10% Fee concession will also be given to those students who deposit entire fee for three year in beginning of the course.
4. 10 % fee concession to Wards of BSF personnel.

Looking at today's global expansion in aviation sector the future offers immense job opportunities to AME license holders in Airlines, Corporate Sector and Training Academies in India and Abroad. Job opportunities have multiplied in recent times since globalization has resulted not only in a number of private Airlines operating in the sector but new International Airlines have also started operations in India.
